Tokonoma alcove – original design art quilt

The Tokonoma alcove which is an essential element for a traditional Japanese guest room. They are usually decorated with a hanging scroll and flower arrangements.

Back ground is light beige fabric which is much softer shade in real.
Navy patchwork is a representation of hanging scroll and appliqued maple leaves, flower arrangement.

Quilted with Japanese traditional motives which used for various traditional crafts there.

Since redness of maple leaves brought autumn in my mind, Autumn moon and river or stream pattern where leaves are floating were quilted too.

Material used are cotton fabric, cotton thread, cotton wadding/batting.

Size ; 32″W by 45″ H, 80cm by 112.5m approx..

There is a hanging sleeve attached on the back of this quilt where you can insert a bar for hanging.
A hanging bar and hanging fixture are not included with this listing due to postage.

Please place this quilt away from direct sunlight in order to avoid sun damage.
Dusting and spot cleaning is recommended.
If necessary, it can be washed in cold gentle cycle with gentle detergent.
Air dry on flat surface. Steam to remove excess wrinkles.
Do not dry clean.
Do not tumble dry.
