Celtic cross quilt – finished

I spent two weeks on and off quilting this king size quilt. Started with Celtic Cross block by Janet and I added corners and borders. All designed as I went. A bit of prov. but with proper math!

I started quilting in ditch as usual and went along wherever I got some idea next. I only used Aurifil 50wt, chalk white, little bit yellow/cream white.

I finished quilting last week and bound over the weekend. The sun finally came out today for me to take some pictures!

Because of those pretty fabrics, quilting won’t huge show up but I used plainer fabric as backing so it’s more visible.

I thought of binding it with much lighter fabric not like usual dark ones I use but I think this light primrose fitted the best.

Before quilting, it was 86″ by 86″ but now 83″. Still good king size, isn’t it?
